FAQ

FAQs
  • This tour is designed for travelers with limited time who understand the trade-off between distance and duration. The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga is long (approximately 9-10 hours each way with stops). However, you will have a full evening and morning in the desert: sunset camel trek, traditional dinner, Gnawa music, stargazing, and sunrise. If you prefer a slower pace, we recommend our 4-day or 5-day desert tours from Marrakech with an extra night in the desert or Dades Valley.

  • Our luxury desert camp in Merzouga features private tents with real beds, ensuite bathrooms with hot water showers, and traditional Berber furnishings. Dinner is served in a communal tent with authentic Moroccan cuisine. The camp has electricity for charging devices and a campfire area for evening entertainment. You will have a memorable experience without sacrificing comfort.

  • Pack light as you will need only an overnight bag for the desert camp (your main luggage stays in the vehicle). Essentials include: comfortable walking shoes for Todra Gorge, warm layers for desert evenings and early mornings (even in summer), a scarf for sun and sand protection, sunglasses, sunscreen, a headlamp or flashlight, and a camera for sunset and sunrise photography. The desert can be chilly from October to April.

  • Yes, with conditions. If your flight arrives in Marrakech before 7:00 AM, we can begin the tour directly from the airport.
