Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley – High Atlas & Kasbahs
Morning departure from your Marrakech riad or hotel at 8:00 AM. Cross the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), the highest road pass in Morocco, with spectacular mountain views and Berber villages clinging to hillsides. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, a stunning fortified ksar that has served as a backdrop for iconic films like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia. Continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” then travel along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley. Day 4: Merzouga to Ouarzazate – Return Journey via Draa Valley
After breakfast at the camp, depart Merzouga and travel toward Ouarzazate via the scenic Draa Valley, known for its thousands of palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Stop at small Berber villages along the way for authentic encounters and photo opportunities. Arrive in Ouarzazate by late afternoon. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a 19th-century fortress with intricate design. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate to Marrakech – Return via High Atlas
After breakfast, depart Ouarzazate and travel back toward Marrakech. Optional stop at the Atlas Film Studios (where many Hollywood epics were filmed). You also spend a night in Ouarzazate on the return journey, breaking up the long drive back to Marrakech.
